About Us
The Story of Gaonse: Gaon se Ghar tak
For generations, the sound of the wooden Bilona churning curd before dawn was the heartbeat of the Indian village. It wasn't just about making food; it was a ritual of purity.
In the city, life moves fast. Amidst the rush, that connection to the soil and the "truth" of our food often gets lost in moderation and processing. We created Gaonse because we believe that no matter where you live, even in the heart of a concrete jungle, you deserve the honest, unadulterated nourishment of the village.
Our ghee isn't made in a factory; it's crafted through the ancient Bilona method. We start with pure milk, turn it into curd, and hand-churn it to extract the golden essence. No shortcuts, no additives, and absolutely no compromise.
When you open a jar of Gaonse, you aren't just smelling ghee; you're smelling the integrity of the village and the promise of a healthier home.
The Bilona Process
🌾 Pure Milk From Haryana Farms — Sourced from the finest desi cows and buffaloes raised on the farms of Haryana.
🫙 Hand-Set Curd — The milk is gently warmed and set into thick, natural curd overnight.
🌀 Bilona Churning — Curd is bi-directionally hand-churned using a wooden bilona to extract pure white butter.
🔥 Slow Cooked — The butter is slow-cooked on a low flame until golden, aromatic ghee is formed.
